Artem Smirnov · The operator behind the studio

A commercial mind.
An operator’s eye.

My work spans the full hospitality lifecycle: property readiness and licensing coordination, commercial setup, connected systems and daily operations. Across hotels, private hospitality portfolios and vacation homes, I connect what the guest is promised with the people and processes delivering the stay.

The through line

Different roles.
The same instinct
to connect the work.

I started where performance is measurable.

Media buying and digital marketing taught me to follow the full journey: what attracts attention, where an inquiry gets lost, how a page changes the decision and what happens after the click. That commercial discipline still shapes how I approach a property’s positioning, distribution and direct booking experience.

Then I moved closer to the work.

Project management added another set of responsibilities: estimates, timelines, contractors, procurement, quality control and documentation. It made the connection between a good plan and a usable result very clear. Decisions have to survive a real schedule, a real team and the details that appear during delivery.

CityNest brought the disciplines together.

At CityNest New York, I have worked across the guest product, brand, website, booking journey, operating standards and connected systems. The case study shows that work in context: how room choices are explained, how guest information is organized, how commercial decisions reach the booking journey and how an operating model becomes something a team can use.

That is the thinking behind ASMI.

I help independent hospitality businesses connect work that is too often commissioned separately. A website should reflect the actual stay. A system should fit the operating process. A brand promise should be supported by the team. My role is to understand those connections, define the work and help carry it through.

Across the wider portfolio

Beyond one hotel.
Across the full lifecycle.

Experience across 30+ properties, with work spanning private hospitality portfolios, Pocono vacation homes and a Manhattan hotel.

From licensing coordination, property documentation and readiness work to OTA setup, pricing, guest communication and full operational management. Selected private work is presented in aggregate, with the underlying properties kept confidential.
